Weekly Bible lesson for the community

Members of the Menlo Park/Palo Alto community are invited to view the Christian Science Weekly Bible Lesson on Community Access Cable TV.

The printed version of the Weekly Bible Lesson, avaliable through the Reading Room, is a daily resource for comfort, support and inspiration. Each Lesson consists of Bible verses, amplified and explained by related passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. The lesson topic changes each week.

You can view the Weekly Bible Lesson on cable television at these scheduled days and times:

Cable TV Channel 30

Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
Thursday at 4:00 p.m.

Also, Community Access Cable TV airs the program several additional times during the week. Check the daily program schedule on their web site for air times.

Christian Science Committee for Institutional Work in San Mateo County

The Christian Science Committee for Institutional Work in San Mateo County conducts church services at the Redwood City County Jail on the first and third Sundays of each month. On each of the two dates, two services are held, one at the old jail and one in the new jail facility. One of the services is conducted in Spanish. Christian Science Chaplains visit the jail weekly to meet one-on-one with inmates who request a Christian Science Chaplain.

Additionally, monthly services are held at the Veterans Administration Facility in Menlo Park and Palo Alto. These services and Chaplain visits result in spiritual and moral growth as well as comfort and healing.
